Blush and Navy Blue Elegant Wedding at Fripp Island Beach & Golf Resort - Saint Helena Island, SC

There is nothing more serene and gorgeous than a lowcountry wedding with grand palm trees, amazing sunshine, cool ocean breezes and an abundance of love. This wedding at Fripp Island Beach & Golf Resort on St. Helena Island, South Carolina had all the perfect ingredients that truly made it the perfect day. The wedding of Sarah and Kevin was one to remember not only because the details were beautiful but because you could feel the love generating from everyone in attendance. The bride, groom, bridal party and guests were simply AMAZING and I am proud to consider them more than just friends - they're family.

Every detail of this wedding came together so nicely to create a signature day. The palette of blues, oranges, and pinks was showcased beautifully against the lush greenery and salt marsh ocean waters off of the 12th hole at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island Beach & Golf Resort. This wedding was elegant, timeless, classic and full of romantic charm!

The Fripp Island Beach & Golf, located in the Beaufort area of the South Carolina Lowcountry on Saint Helena Island (or Gullah Island "the heart of Gullah Culture" as locals like to call it), is an oceanside family friendly resort and community that has incredible nature views everywhere you go on the island. If you blink, you might miss the deers that are free to roam the island. Guests have the opportunity to stay, explore, play and enjoy your wedding weekend all in one location; making for a relaxing and fun weekend truly surrounded in love. Fripp Island Beach & Golf Resort {just a short drive from Hilton Head Island, Savannah and Charleston} is the perfect location for a destination wedding that gives you all of the loveliness of being in the coastal south but also have you feel like you are on an exclusive island retreat.

The Bridal Party

Everything about Sarah's dress was divine; from the intricately beaded bodice to the simple classic silhouette. Sarah looked breathtakingly stunning in her wedding dress - of course, it helps when you look as beautiful as Sarah and like a fashion model. The accessories Sarah chose were divine and just matched perfectly to the classic timeless elegance of the day. Before getting dressed for the big day the bride, bride's mother and the bridesmaids enjoyed champagne toasts in beautiful monstera leaf patterned robes. Sarah's bridesmaids rocked pretty blush pink gowns in varying styles and textures. I incorporated the pastel blue, matching blush and warm orange shade tones into all the bridal party bouquets to give the perfect pop of color.

Kevin and his guys were dressed to the nines as well! The groom, groomsmen, father of the groom and father of the bride wore navy blue suits with blush pink ties, pink pocket squares with rich brown shoes and topped off with blush pink boutonnieres. Everyone looked amazing and there were ready for this gorgeous day.

The Ceremony

For the wedding ceremony, our clients chose to celebrate on the 12th 1hole of the Ocean Creek Golf Course. Overlooking the salt marsh shoreline, this setup was picture perfect. This wonderful couple said their wedding vows in front of friends and family with the sun shining beautifully and the stunning palm tree silhouettes in the background. We opted for a clean and simple look with flower covered lanterns to set the ceremony space. The flowers used were blush roses, blue delphinium, orange spray roses, peach hypericum berries. These arrangements were crisp, lush and elegant. A very simple look because the natural elements of the location were the features we wanted to highlight.

The Reception

Every detail of this wedding had a seamless flow and balance. Sarah and Kevin's reception continued that flow with the signage details, cake table and overall decor. The flower garland surrounding the door at the entrance to the Oceanview Room as well as the centerpieces matched the blue, blush and orange blooms from the ceremony and bouquets. I loved Sarah and Kevin's decorated golf cart and that they got a surprise visit from their dog, Rowdy. As guests dined, the bride and groom snuck away to capture the last light of the day on the beach, it was almost like they had a the whole beach to themselves. After dancing the night away, the couple departed beneath a sky full of stars and through a tunnel of sparklers. It was an amazingly beautiful wedding and an incredible honor to work with Sarah and Kevin.
